Light Jazz with Lucrecia Rodrigues & Kayla

Lucrecia (vocals) and Kayla (guitar) have been performing together since February 2005. They have a broad repertoire of slick jazz, complimented by their original compositions which have a modern jazz funk feel. Their sound is soft, polished and melodic.

Even before the release of their debut CD, they were fortunate to have their original composition "Long Street" used in a movie which was featured at the Berlin Film Festival in February 2006. Lucrecia and Kayla are both full time professional musicians currently performing regularly in and around Cape Town. They are a visually stylish duo who perform most of their repertoire using only voice and guitar.

Lucrecia's voice is sweet and delicate, dripping with tone and blends in beautifully with Kayla's unique fingerstyle method of playing guitar in which chords, bass lines and soloing are played simultaneously, producing a full, rich sound.
